Ya Know What I Mean?

Lightly Sketched and Lightly Staged

Conveying sketch concepts during the design process is a great way to keep clients in the loop. But it can be easy to confuse or mislead them if you do not provide enough info even for a preliminary/ quick concept.


Minimal with Color Blocking
A lightly rendered image or quick sketch created on your computer can say "I'm not quite ready, but what do you think?"

Graph Paper Action
Looking at the images without the pillows makes it easy to see that even though you are making a quick concept sketch, a little bit of staging goes a long way. Without pillows you wouldn't know what you were looking at? Is it a headboard? Or is it a laptop?
