hidden treasures... love the color on this clock
hey there, cute green stool

On a cold drizzly Saturday afternoon, I found myself falling in love with the great finds at Darby Road Home Furnishings in Waltham!  They have great decorative pieces, big and small - traditional and modern. I enjoyed perusing their store and nearby WAREHOUSE! There's lots to look at and it's the perfect place to shop for your home and/or gifts! If you are shopping on a whim or doing some serious design/decorating you can find a nice variety of one-of-a-kind pieces, antiques and custom options. I am definitely pocketing Darby Road as a go to source for future projects!

Forever Missoni

This pattern might go down in my books as a classic. I can't stop loving Missoni's Jarris flame stitched fabric.

You can purchase the fabric from Stark

Bloomingdale's Holiday Catalog
Like most designer's, I get distracted by shiny and/ or colorful things. I also draw inspiration from every and any source I come across. Fashion and graphic design bring me the most inspiration. So I love browsing catalogs...  I enjoy using instagram to hone in on intriguing visuals, such as the latest mailing from one of my favorite retail establishments-- Bloomingdale's. Their holiday catalog covers REALLy caught my eye this morning! The color brings energy and excitement to the viewer.

So I hope you enjoyed this latest post and most of all I hope you got to see the unfiltered ads un-instagramed. If not keep reading...

Before and After.. sneak peek.

Before.

Impromptu photo shoot.
After...
My client wanted some fresh accessories. The chairs came alive with rich blue and white pillows.  The lamp and tray visually tie in with the decorative plates. I don't know about you, but I am loving me some side tables with open storage ops below. I'm in love with this piece! Having a nice turned leg works great in this traditional setting. We needed more leg (who doesn't)? One of my fav moments in this room is the custom ottoman. I used a contemporary pattern that brings function, and visual interest. It also has a turned leg. We can now see more of the existing oriental rug which in my opinion -- is what dreams are made of.  Can't wait to show you the full finished affect with better images and detail shots!! Whose excited?!?

Happy weekend!
